Santa is Coming to Our Studio!

I'm excited to be holding my first Santa Event next weekend and wanted to let you know!
Santa will only be visiting for one day, November 19th, and there will only be twelve fifteen minute appointments available, so I expect them to fill up quickly.

Imagine watching your child chatting with Santa. He greets her by name when she arrives and he knows what she is interested in. The look of awe on her face is priceless! Later, when you pass "Santa" at the Mall she'll tell you that's not Santa because she's already met the real Santa. In this day and age where kids learn so much so young it's a great feeling to witness the Magic of Christmas through our children's eyes for as many years as we can, don't you agree?

Here's how your little one's visit with Santa will go...Santa will be waiting in my studio and will greet her by name and chat with her while we capture beautiful candid images of them. We'll photograph her with Santa in several poses. Hot chocolate, cider and cookies will be served after you're done visiting with Santa. We'll schedule an appointment for the following week to view your images and make your choices. Everything will be delivered in time for Christmas gift giving and card mailing!

While impatient parents are already lining up with their children to visit Santa at every Mall, and receiving pictures printed on the spot and delivered in cardboard folders, you'll experience a relaxed atmosphere where your time has been reserved and you're assured of a variety of poses, with professional quality printing and packaging for your treasured images.

Don't wait to reserve your spot. Call right now for Package information! We will be collecting canned goods for Lenore's Pantry in lieu of a session fee.

Throw Open the Windows!

Finally I can open all the windows and skylights in the house each day! I love to work in my home office with the sunlight streaming in and the breeze blowing through! It's so nice to have a chance to appreciate our home through all the seasons. I can watch snow obscure the skylights in the winter and crank them open to the warm spring air. And while my colleagues from a former life are waiting to get outside for their lunch hour I might be photographing a family or couple in a park. I truly feel blessed to do this type of work each day.

I recently met with Kelly and Cal for an engagement session. They're living in two different states until their wedding brings them both to Georgia for good. Watching the video of their morning at Borderland State Park is one way to relive a great day over the weeks that they're still apart.

Get out and enjoy the warm weather if you can!

Maybe Spring Really is Here!?!

What a wonderful way to get rejuvenated! I finally had a free afternoon, and some nice weather, to get outdoors and do a little spring cleaning in our front yard. And the girls were happy to get outside with me and clean up the flower pots and beds. Not done by a long shot, but just that little bit of accomplishment made me feel like I can tackle everything that needs to be done this week for the studio. My husband decided to go fishing, which he WAY deserved today.

Sun is shining, we all got outdoors to enjoy the sun, and suddenly rolling towards the end of the weekend doesn't seem so bad. Here's to more sunny days in a row, and time spent getting our hands dirty this Spring!

Hope you had a great weekend. Let me know what you got to do!

First Communion Portraits

First Holy Communion is an important part of your child's Faith Formation journey. It's a wonderful reason to make a visit to your family's portrait photographer to capture all the facets of your son or daughter's growth as a person. I remember all the emotions we experienced as our twin daughters celebrated their First Communion. The white dresses are enough to bring you to tears with imaginings of the day they walk down the aisle as a bride. The seriousness of the occasion, mixed with that twinkle in their eyes. And you're watching them, wondering how they can be so grown up already. Now I look at those portraits and think that they looked so young! But the important thing is that we took the time to capture that important day in portraits that we'll treasure and pass down to the girls later.

You're likely already making a To-Do list for shopping for clothes, sending out invitations, and planning their Communion party. Don't forget to add the one To-Do that will appreciate in value to your family long after that day in May has passed.

Call us at 508.761.5220 for sessions in May. Special package savings are offered for a short time.

Let us capture your life as art!
